Fathers Day
This year Fathers Day landed on our anniversary. So, Justin definitely didn’t get the spotlight like maybe he should have. However, we are thankful for our daddy and feel blessed to have him in our lives.

We Will Use These Against You Sometime
So as this is my only form of journaling, I wanted to remember some of the hilarious things that 3 year olds say…
Story One
Brin- “Daddy I love you soooo much, I love EVERYONE in the world MORE than you!!”
Justin: “Thanks Brin” he said, “I think I know what you meant.”

Story Two
The other morning Brin was begging for some scrambled egg the way Grandma Sage makes them.
Me: "I can’t make them just like Grandma they are always so much better. "
Brin: “Okay, but you can try”
After cooking them and as I am scooping them into her plate I hear loud cheering and energetic clapping.
Brin: “Yeah you did it mom, very good job. You tried and tried and you did make eggs. I knew you could do it.”
Cute but how many dozens of time have I done that before, I guess it was nice to be SOOO appreciated for cracking eggs and mixing them around on a stove.

A quick insert I found this picture as I was uploading the other one. Brinley LOVES LOVES to cook with Grandma. She enjoys cooking with me but not like with Grandma. If she sees a picture with food and writing on it she assumes it’s a recipe, it gets saved to be taken to Grandmas and made with her on a later date. On Sunday Brin begged Grandma to make cookies, unfortunately she had left her recipes at home. Not to worry Grandma assured her that she might just have a few to choose from:) They started to make two different kinds and as I snuck into the pantry and found that Grandma gives Brinley a handful of brown sugar while they are cooking. Apparently she loves to lick brown sugar, and that is the answer to the question “Why does Brinley like to cook with Grandma so much?”Story Three
After a long day of cleaning up mess after mess, Brin thought it would be a great idea to smash all of her broccoli into her table. As I caught her smearing it around…
Me: “Brin what are you doing? Take your shoes, put them on the stairs and wait for me to talk to you.”
Brin: As she is walking to the stairs she takes a quick detour to her daddy who is doing work on the couch. She looks at him shrugs her shoulders and warns him “I think she get’n real mad now dad.” She nodded at him and walked to the stairs.

Brin: "Well, it must be good for Ma Maw Sage's body cause she drinks it all the time."

We Have Forward Movement
Owen update…He is now mobile. On the same day he started crawling he started cruising. So we quickly were brought back to the reality of a crawler in the home, vacuuming 2-3 times a day, digging stuff (usually rubber bands) out of mouths, and constantly picking up small objects. I forgot how clean floors could really be, and how many things babies can find to put in their mouths on a seemingly spotless floor.
Owen may not be advanced when it comes to his mobility but he sure is advanced when it comes to eating and drinking. He is a pro!!! The very first time a straw hit his mouth he knew exactly what to do. He hasn’t met ANYTHING he wouldn’t eat and love. I say he eats all day long and until you witness it you wouldn’t believe it, ALL DAY LONG!!!
It looks like we may have a Cullen in the family, (for all those Twilight fans.) Owen has gotten 4 teeth. The lower bottom teeth like normal but the next two are the upper lateral incisors, or vampire teeth!!!! At least Vampires are totally IN right now. Hopefully I don’t get Vampire marks while feeding him:)
