It's Done

After many months and a lot of help the nursery is done. The first thing I started thinking about after we found out we were having a boy was what the nursery theme would be. I was so sure that we were going to have another girl that I had Justin put up a pretty feminine chandelier light in the nursery, to go with the french, frilly, baby room I had in mind. But low and behold I was having a boy. I guess the most obvious theme was baseball; it would definitely be the most inexpensive. SO, it is a vintage baseball baby room. I am really happy with how it turned out. Wonderfully talented Bethany Abercrombie drew that mural on the wall (she did most of it free hand WOW.) It turned out better than we could have expected, thanks. My mom made the window valances, and added to the bedding, and my grandma made the quilt. Thanks for talented people. All the rest of the stuff was in Justin closet at his parent’s house. He was glad to be able to use all the things he collected over the years (but most of all he was happy we had to buy very little!)

OWEN

Our little man! Its hard for me to imagine that he wasn't always with us. He is almost 3 weeks old already, only if time passed like that when your pregnant. He is a pretty content baby, other than the grunting. He loves to GRUNT for hours most of the time at 3:00 in the morning. I know that when we found out we were having a Boy I was a bit sad, mostly because I love the girl stuff (BOWS), but what a sweet blessing to have baby Owen. I do miss the bows and I am not as excited to buy him clothes but he is so precious, wouldn't trade for anything. I am looking forward to all the excitement of two children, and plan to wait AWHILE for #3.

We Call It Her "Princess Mask"

Since January Brinley has been fighting a cough, or so we thought. We went through rounds of Antibiotics, Nasonex Nasal Spray, Claritin, and numerous cough medicines. Nothing seemed to work and after a lot of throwing up and frustration we changed Pediatricians. She seems to think Brinley has asthma. She prescribed a breathing machine it’s a bit noisy and makes her a little uncomfortable, but she has been a trooper. I am just really hoping that this works for her. Lately if she became too active she would cough until she would throw-up. I want her to be as active as a 2 year old should be. Justin had asthma for a few years when he was young so I hope it is something she will grow out of like her daddy did.

Ready or Not Here I am

Yea, he's here and I am not pregnant anymore!!!!!! Thursday August 28th Owen Mitchel Lensch was born at 1:52. 7lbs even and 19 3/4 inches, even smaller than his sister. I was very happy about that date 8-28-08, so easy to remember. I couldn't have asked for an easier c-section and the recovery has been smooth. I am just so glad that he made it to earth safe and sound. Last night I was able to sleep 5.5 hours straight and for that I am grateful. Brinley is in love with her brother. She helps bath him, change him and reads him to sleep. The few car rides were have taken as a family have been full of Brinley laughing at her brother, she is glad she has a buddy in the back. We cross our fingers that the green monster doesn't emerge.

CRASH

I've heard of this horror story about computers crashing from others, but it couldn't happen to me RIGHT??? Wrong, over two weeks ago our laptop just died. Thankfully we had backed up our pictures through December 07'. We have lost the past 6 months of pictures and all our documents, but we have Brinley's first two years. I cant imagine how devastated I would be if I had lost all of those. And you know timing was impeccable considering, Owen arrives in a week and car insurance and student loans and on and on. We thankfully have the money because I have been saving for a beautiful new patio set for our backyard, which oddly enough the new laptop was within $10 of the patio set.( IMAGINE THAT!!!) I guess for now I will just dream of that patio set with the cute wooden bench and colorful umbrella, that matched the set covers for the chairs and table set. No, but really I just count my many blessing. This time I will take proper precautions to assure that I don't lose any precious pictures. Oh, and I is nice to be reconnected to the world again.

Another Month Down

It has been a full Month ....

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!! We love the 4th despite the exhausting heat. We had pancakes at the church, saw WALL-E with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Tom, and spent the rest of the day eating and swimming at Grandma's and Grandpa's.

Cooking with Momma

Brinley helped momma in the kitchen a lot this month. Here is just one of the cool creations we made together (she helps lick the bowls, and eat the sprinkles, she helps just like her daddy.)

The Chocolate Factory

We toured the Cerreta Chocolate Factory and made a chocolate pizza, that tasted so so YUMMY!!!

Fun with Friends

We had some friends over to play and eat. Brinley calls her little friends Kaleb and Joe"fish".
She had such a good time and slept really well that night.

This is a picture of Brinley in front of The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory eating a chocolate snowman last year and again this year. Wow, how big they get in a year. And I guess she has grown some hair.

Yes, we wore jackets during the middle of the day. The weather was to die for. We love Colorado in the summer.

Sewing with Ma maw!!

I guess it's time to say goodbye to the summer. Justin starts school on Wednesday and so back to real life we go. We are just going to hope the next month goes as fast so we can welcome our baby boy into the world.

Overview of June

June seemed to fly by, I guess we were having fun!!!

Brin was in a swimming class. She sucessfully completed 3 of 7 days. It was not her thing, and I definitely didn't push it either. In the 100 degree temperature I could think of other things I'd rather do like watch a movie on our bed in the air conditioned house (we have done a lot of that lately.)

Last year the Rushes and our family went to the Circus and Brin loved it. So this year she and Ma-maw Otis went together. Her favorite animal is the elephant, she was not disapointed. Popcorn, cotton-candy, hot-dogs so much fun. Thanks Grandma!!!

Oh, and it has given me ideas for Brins 3rd Birthday party, I can't wait.
