My Heart Sang Today...

and that's saying a lot because natural I DON'T SING! I am in the midst of my biggest dream that of being a mother and there are just some glimpse that make the Sunshine bright on a cloudy, rainy, cold winter day. These moments don't have to be some BIG deal but there are times, like yesterday dancing with Reagan at the Park as the Kids played or today dropping off my baby to school to see her pigtails bouncing up and down as she skips to class, or my main man falling asleep as hes sitting up at the T-Mobile store with his thumb in his mouth and his rosy cheeks that make me want to freeze time or somehow keep those warm fuzzy feelings trapped in a jar to open on the tough days of life. I realize the blessing of being a mom and I just want to suck it up, or inhale violently as my dad would put it, the joy that it is. Life isn't meant to be "PERFECT," whatever you may consider that, its meant to be lived and I am in the midst of that LIVING. I am enjoying my kids, my husband, FOOD, doing my laundry, cooking dinner, so many things that I wasn't able to for the 9 months of sick and pregnant. So, as I think about the blessing of my Briny, Owenman, and baby Reags my heart is proudly singing the most beautiful song praises for these little blessings that are the biggest joys of my life.

Wonderful couple of months...

So much has happened in a few short months and because of the great fun we have been enjoying posting has been on the back burner HOWEVER things need to be jotted down for futures sake so here goes a smorgasbord of funness...

Baby Reagan was Blessed...
Oh, what a wonderful day this was as her daddy gave her a name and a blessing. Never short of a miracle these little ones and this day hit that home to me. We had so many wonderful friends and family make it out (1/2 way to LA;) at 8am to witness and take part of this wonderful event for out little family. I am so grateful for my little flock and feel blessed to be these 3 kids mom. They surely do make my life enriched and me enlightened as I feel more of what my Heavenly Father must feel for me. I was told by several of the men in the circle that Reagan was smiling throughout the entire blessing.
Mom you always come through, she redid my old baby blessing dress and it was PERFECT!!!

Whale of a week…
On the way home from the Baby Blessing Justin said “Lets go to San Diego” and I agreed so we packed up before bed and in the morning off we went on an impromptu trip to California. We spent the whole day at Sea World and kids loved it. Owen was super excited to see the red Octopus which eventual disappointed him as it was sucked up again the glass and impossible to distingue. Brin’s favorite show was of the dolphins (it just happened to be about a princess.) Reagan was an angel the whole day, other than the blow out that left her just with a blanket and a jacket to wear for half the day. It was of course our fault for not bringing a change of clothes but what do we know she only our 3rd;) I just loved watching the kids faces as they saw so many new things. Justin was happy to take the kids to the beach and eat on the boardwalk. Good times!!!

Fairly Awesome Day…
We had the chance to attend the fair a few weeks back all because Owen man “had to go on the big wheel!” Every time we drove past down town on the way to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s he would remind us that he need to ride the Ferris wheel, so Justin ditched school one day to fulfill that dream. I didn’t know until we were at the fair grounds that my dear husband had never been to a fair before (really?!) It was a bit overwhelming for him also I guess it was a senior ditch day for Agua Fria and he ran into a group of his students ditching as well (little awkward;)
Owen got to ride on the Ferris wheel with daddy and Brinley, they loved the petting zoo, we ate fried EVERYTHING (including my favorite the fried snickers) and rode on several rides. We wore ourselves out in the 4 hours we were there and enjoyed the time with our family. Although, Justin could wait several more years to go back:)

Bull Run…
Justin and his brother have been plotting to run with the bulls in Spain for well… Forever and this year they learned the bulls were coming to Cave Creek Arizona (well rodeo bulls not “the real” bulls) Justin enjoyed the 2 runs him and his bother participated in, silly boys:)

I sure love me some Halloween…

And this year was no different as we enjoyed Halloween from set up to take down (and it seems to go so quickly.)
SuperHeros have infested our lives and no matter how we try to exterminate them they come back three fold. I think Owen knows EVERY superhero. On top of that he can tell you there alternant identities, powers, weaknesses, sidekicks, car they drive, well you get the picture. He seems to have a bit of an obsessive personality (hope he grow out of it before he realizes the ladies) SO, because of this obsession we worked around this and were the SuperLensch’s for Halloween. I didn’t have as much fun making the costumes this year but I realize this holiday isn’t all about me;) Next year however I’m going to try to influence the costumes in my direction (zoo animal and Just and I zoo keepers) A little early to decide I know it’s a problem I have.

We enjoyed a pizza party with a projected movie on the back wall then tick-0r-treating in our neighborhood, it was wonderful weather with great friends and family. We love Halloween and sucked it up best we could!!!

Never going back...

I know that my writing will not do this story justice as I am not the best storyteller but I NEED to jot this down before my memory fades…

We were at the Dr.’s getting the two older kids their flu shots and Reagan’s 2 month shots as the nurse walked in with a hand full of needles she said, “Lets get Owen shot done first.”

“Yeah I am first” he said obviously not remembering what a shot was. I held him in my arms as the nurse rubbed his upper arm with alcohol. Just as soon as she was done with that prep she took the needle and stuck it right into his arm. In an instant his expression changed. He looks dead into the nurse’s eyes and said “I am not coming back to the Dr.s, I do not like it here. I don’t like the ceilings, I don’t like that green car outside, and I don’t even like Halloween.”

The nurse said with a smile, “Well, that’s pretty negative.”

Daddy, trying to settle Owen down said, “Well, bud you did get a sticker.”

Owen responded promptly with, “I don’t like these stickers anyway, I will not come back here again. I don’t like it here!”

Later talking to Grandma he told her that “I had to get a shot but I wont be going back, I don’t like the sand, I don’t like the grass, and I don’t even like Santa.” In which he changed his mind pretty quickly about Santa when I told he that he was listening;)

Oh, Owen where in the world did we get you?!?! But we aren’t giving you back you keep us laughing, and I have heard laughter is good for you. YOUR LUCKY FOR THAT, little dude;)

I am in LOVE...

I am in love, I wake up and can wait to get sweet kisses and I go to bed smiling because this was the last face I saw. I get butterflies thinking about time I get to spend together. Sunshine fills my days and warms my heart. OK enough right…. But its all true I am madly in love with my REAGAN baby. She is such a joy, not sure if its because I am getting older and understanding just what a miracle these babies are or if I have done this before and I know how fast time goes but I can suck up enough of this baby. I try to slow down and enjoy as much as possible with two other children (one being very active, I wont disclose which one;) If I could just freeze time and hear your sweet whines, see your cute face as you stretch, smell your baby fresh head but at last I cannot. Oh, Reagan how wonderful you are I am enjoying you as much as I can and you are just fabulous.

Chick-filet had a superhero night for the kids and guess who wanted to go;) It was lots of fun watching the kids faces as all sorts of Superheros dinned with us that night!

"Super" Party

Our little Super Owen turned 3!!! He may be a smidgen obsessed with Superhero’s and bad guys, if you spend anytime with him you will know! I had tons of fun planning the party and making masks, and towel capes for 13 kids! Oh, how I love parties!!! We had snow cones, chili cheese dogs, cupcakes, popcorn, a piƱata, & Daddy was able to set up the projector outside and we watched Spiderman on the back wall as the kids sat in the kiddy pools! Owen had a blast with all his Super friends and family. Even Spiderman couldn’t resist making an appearance ( my good friend Patty Rush’s son happened to have the costume from a previous years Halloween and he volunteered to make Owen party Spectacular) he made the day as Owen asked him to shoot webs and hang upside down. We all had a great time and look forward to many more exciting moments with our OWEN MAN!

This week I a will have a 1 MONTH old & a 3 YEAR old...

I can't believe little Reagan is almost a month old. If only pregnancy would go this fast! I am SOOOO enjoying this time as I try to suck up each moment with her knowing that this stage will be a distant memory soon. I am actually typing now as she is falling asleep in my arms, HEAVEN. Her tiny fingers and white
eyebrows are almost more than I can take as I well up with emotions, mostly gratitude for the opportunity to be a mother. I am so THANKFUL to have these little ones, (and now I am going to get MUSHY) they are my WHOLE life, my color to a dark world, my sweet to the sour, my CHINESE food, okay you get the point I really like being a mother;)

Reagan has been a little more fussy than the other two, from about 7pm-9pm she needs a little more love and attention, and she sleeps for about 4 hours straight and then wants to be up for a while. I am not complaining, not even a little bit, not even at all, I know that's not bad and I just adore this stage, so come what may. She seems to still be sooo tiny about 7.5 pounds now and still in some of her preemie clothes. She loves her passy and to cuddle in the Moby Wrap with her mommy or daddy (and Justin looks great in the moby;) The kids adore her, Brin wants to help with everything and Owen is very much her Superhero protector, thinking he will wart of any bad guys that may want to harm his baby sister or "the sister that can't walk" as he puts it. Owen is always in his role as a Superhero. We are getting into a routine (hallelujah) and life is adjusting surprisingly well.

Owen Man turns three next Sunday and I am still in shock!!! The kid has grown up waaaaaay too fast. He was early with his words and I think that speed things up too quickly for us. He still is using those words as he doesn't stop talking (mostly about bad guys, and Superheros) I would be surprised if he didn't ask you after seconds of meeting "Can you be a bad guy?" There is no end to his play or his imagination so that can be sort of exhausting. This kid certainly keeps us laughing, he is our family Clown (well I guess him and his daddy tie on that one.) For as tough as our little Superhero is, he is just as sensitive. He hates to disappoint us and especially "Sister" Brinley means a lot to Owen and so does her approval. They get along rather well playing constantly. Brin sometimes wants alone time and that very much bothers Owen. He would be joined at her hip if possible.
